200 applications. Zero architects.
That’s the reality of posting a senior Salesforce role right now. The market looks full. It isn’t.
Resume filtering is the norm. In-house recruiters often spend eight weeks sorting through resumes for a Salesforce architect role. Most of the applicants are admins and business analysts who picked up a certification or two during COVID and are applying to anything with “Salesforce” in the title. The person they actually need isn’t in that stack at all.
That’s not bad luck. It’s structural. The candidates worth hiring for senior roles aren’t applying. They’re employed, they’re selective, and the only way to reach them is a direct conversation they didn’t see coming.
I started Oakcrest specifically because I watched this play out from the inside. The best senior Salesforce talent isn’t in the applicant pool, and that’s the wrong pond to be fishing in. If your search is producing volume but not quality, that’s worth a conversation.
